Free Home Business Opportunities May Not Be So Free

Despite what the advertisements may promise, finding Free work at home programs may come with a price. While companies advertise free work from home Opportunities, what they define as free may not be the same definition as yours.

A majority of free work at home opportunities are simply franchise opportunities, where you put your name on their web page and promote it. In many ways, this makes sense. The company has spent much money and time developing their web site, along with the replication software so that you can have the same website with your name on it. They have also devoted time and money creating the service or product for sale on that site.

Like any typical franchise, a new entry in the field can take advantage of the name recognition, products and reputation of the existing company. This company is selling the exclusive use of its name and products, in hopes that more customers will be attracted.

A main problem with internet businesses of this sort is that if you are one of the 1,000 people with 1,000 websites that all look exactly alike it will be difficult getting people to visit your site so that you get credit for sale. This is where cost may enter the equation. You need to advertise your site. Sure, you can set up a free blog site and talk about nothing but the products on your site, using your unique URL to draw people in which may get a number of people reading your blog. If you therefore get some of them to visit the site then this would be considered free.

However if you ask any one who has achieved the slightest degree of success in business, internet or traditional, they will most assuredly tell you that advertising or marketing is required to get traffic (people) to your website or into your business. Without traffic, the only people who will be aware of your online business are you and your service provider, who is only interested in you paying your fees.

To boost your page’s ranking, you may have to spend some quality time and money to make your site more attractive to internet search engines. In business, time is money, so your free work at home opportunity is getting more expensive as you go along.

In addition, many of the companies offering free websites, amazingly also can recommend a marketing company to help you get your site noticed. That will not be free, but the returns from increased sales may pay for the advertising. Of course, the company, whose free website you promote, is going to be an affiliate of the marketing company and will receive a percentage of your outlay for the advertising. While there may not be anything illegal or even unethical about these arrangements, you should be aware of what you are getting into before you spend the first dime.

How to Collect Real Estate Leads

Collecting Leads, that is, a list of prospective clients or customers, can prove to be an arduous task. There are numerous ways as there are numerous sources on how you can generate Leads offline – those that lie outside the Internet world.

While online lead generation has been very popular these days, there are those that prefer to take on a more conventional, or offline, form to transact their Real-estate business concerns.

Open houses are the best location for the conduct of offline real estate market platforms. Just how one would benefit from offline land and property advertising depends on how you understand your prospective clients and how they would benefit from your unique program.

Tools for Generating Real Estate Leads

Weekend Newspaper Ads – Property brokers and agents gain enough lead output through various newspaper advertisement programs and support media.

It’s an effective way by which real estate honchos generate enough leads to support marketing tools to effectively deliver programs intended to lure clients to buying into the product offering.

Oftentimes, Internet marketers are not effective on delivering an “act now” marketing plan because most offers stay for a longer period of time. In contrast, the more conventional types are more compelling for they usually stay for a day or two.

In case of newspaper and television media ads, they are short-lived and are available only for select clients who have specifically gotten hold of such offers.

The pool of clients calling on such marketing offers are automatically logged on to a tool which captures their information and in turn put them on a list of prospective clients or what they call leads.

Open Houses – Another way by which one would be able to collect leads is through conducting another marketing tool known as open houses.

In this marketing strategy, an advertiser or a seller would conduct public sales of property and allows inspection according to a specified time of the day. The conduct and institution of open houses are required by law to be legally registered and that they operate under the existing law of the state.

Conventional Newsletters – More conventional newsletters are another powerful lead conversion tool. Newsletter subscribers are evenly gathered in a list and are treated as though they are part of an aggregation where interests or property subjects them to commonality.

In short, folks who subscribe to such media are manually distributed through a host of tools by which the same information is used for other marketing giants.

Seriously I know you’re out there?

I know that there are people making money online, and I really want to know how. Now please hear me out,I have been researching jobs for months, and I tried the surveys, project pay day, sign ups, hits4pay, read e-mails, mlm, domain names, oh and the infamous data entry where you have to pay for an underground website to ‘work’ for companies but you still have to pay to advertise the ads. *SIGH* I have the ambition and I have the skills, I just need an opportunity to put it to work. So you guys out there, please help me, don’t leave me bad links with no leads, I want to hear from real people making real money, please. Thanks.

Depends on what you mean by real money.

The free opportunities on the net take time to build up to anything I’d call real money, but they do exist. Inbox Dollar, Treasure Trooper, and similar sites pay you to take surveys and complete trial offers. I’ve done a blog post about getting to your first $30 in Inbox Dollars in under an hour.

The paid-to-read sites also pay, but the key in those is getting referrals since the amount you can personally make is small. I’m currently making about $2 a day in Adbux, and work about 20 other programs that are like it.

I’ve linked to a review of Marketing Pond, which is a free system for working the paid-to-read sites and getting referrals for free. It does work, but expect to invest time into it. You won’t get instant results.

Another option, since you can clearly write well, is to start up a blog and put some advertising on it. Expect to put a significant amount of time into this, though. You won’t see more than pennies from it for six months or so.

Why does there appear to be extreme negativity to home business opps.?

A "real" and proven home business opportunity, in the form of network marketing, requires focus, positive thinking, hard work, brain power, creativity, salesmanship, honesty, client service, a high level of personal ethics, dedication to "cold" market lead generation, and consistent follow up with leads. Is there anyone that believes otherwise? I make a very good living at what I am doing, yet the common perception is that it is all a scam!

William,

I’m happy to hear that you are having success, good news is always nice to hear. The problem with the home business is not neccessarily the business itself, but all the scams that commonly do come with them. I have been looking for a home-based business that doesn’t come off as a scam for quite some time. Unfortunately, most opportunities either don’t give enough information (scary, lack of info=bad idea in my opinion), just want your money (several places I’ve tried to contact don’t exist, the "business" was a front to get people to send them money for the idea, or to ‘take over’), or the company you are going to do the work for has lackluster help if any at all. Also, network marketing is a rather new term I think, that used to be called pyramiding, which isn’t allowed anymore. I know the set up is different than the old pyramid idea, but the concept is still kind of the same, and a lot of people never did like the old Amway way of doing things. From what I have seen, as soon as you mention a pay off that is ‘pyramid’ in shape, you will loose people. But, if you fully believe in what you are doing, then don’t worry about the opinions of others, your success will eventually show through and those people will be regretting not hearing you out. Keep up the work, and send me some info on that business!
